The Restart Scheme is one
28/06/2022
Today (Tuesday, 28 June 2022) marks the one-year anniversary of the Restart Scheme. That’s one year of providing our customers with the right level of support to help them find a job that’s right for them. Our frontline teams have been on hand to help with everything from updating CVs to tackling health concerns, and from impressing at interviews to launching new start-up businesses.
What better way to celebrate one year of the Restart Scheme offer than to hear from one of our customers who we’ve supported into sustainable employment over the past year.
Before joining the Restart Scheme, Lorraine, 52, from Chichester, had given up on work following a traumatic experience in her previous role; she felt that she could no longer work, and was suffering from anxiety and depression as a result. Throughout her time with us, Lorraine’s employment adviser, James, helped her to rewrite her CV, build her confidence back up and help her see the bright side in working again. Lorraine is now working at the Grape Tree shop in Chichester, she loves the clientele and the work itself. She feels she is able to confidently have conversations with strangers within the shop, even laughing with them and supporting them with their choices.
