Armaan secures his future with help from Fedcap

Armaan had been unemployed since April 2023. He previously worked as a housekeeper at a nursing home but left because there was no career progression available.

 

He was determined to land back on his feet again and showed his determination by funding his own SIA license so that he could be one step closer to his dream job of working in security. 

 

Armaan’s employment adviser, Amanda, found him the perfect role as a Retail Security Officer at the Iceland store in central Worthing where he lives. He was swiftly booked into an interview workshop and confidence building workshop with Restart Scheme facilitator, Mitchell, to receive bespoke 1:1 support that equipped him with the essential skills and confidence boost needed to ace his interview.  

 

In addition, Amanda helped him research Iceland’s values and vision to help set him apart from the other candidates. Armaan’s commitment and hard work paid off when he impressed the hiring team at Iceland with his professionalism and passion for the role, resulting in a job offer in March 2024. 

 

Armaan believes he has found his dream job as a security officer for Iceland and is looking forward to seeing what this opportunity might lead to in the future.
