About Us
Fedcap is a not-for-profit organisation committed to improving people’s economic mobility. We support people to find work and access better health, education and learning opportunities.
Working across our four integrated practice areas – education, workforce development, health, and economic development – we deliver research-based solutions that remove barriers and open doors to economic mobility and wellbeing for individuals and communities.
We’re part of The Fedcap Group which serves more than 332,000 people each year through a network of not-for-profit affiliates in the US, UK, Canada and Australia. Combining local expertise with shared infrastructure, innovation and a platform for sustainable growth, our network model supports scalable impact.
We’ve been delivering employability and health-related contracts for UK and devolved governments and local authorities since 2019.
ELITE Supported Employment, BP Learning UK, which includes the alternative education provider Big Picture Doncaster, and the green skills training and consultancy organisation, The Verdancy Group, all joined Fedcap in 2025. In 2026, The New School, in London, also joined Fedcap as we continue to grow our education practice in the UK.
Our pedigree
We are part of The Fedcap Group – an organisation founded in the US back in 1935 by three wounded World War I veterans. Their aim was to help disadvantaged people of all backgrounds gain economic independence, dignity and become valuable contributors to society.
And that goal remains as important today as it was in the early 20th century.
Today, The Fedcap Group serves over 340,000 people worldwide each year, developing ground-breaking programmes that help to achieve long-term economic wellbeing by focusing on four main areas. These are:

As a charity, we don’t have any shareholders. Instead we are committed to reinvesting all our money back into our frontline services so that we can help more people to improve their health and enhance their economic wellbeing.

We know that delivering on our mission doesn’t happen overnight. In fact, it starts with local, personalised and consistent support that can achieve long-term self-sufficiency.
We’ve seen first-hand how getting people healthy, building their confidence and giving them the tools to become mentally resilient can dramatically improve their employment prospects. Not only that but we’ve witnessed the impact that holding down a rewarding job can have on improved wellbeing and quality of life – giving people a sense of structure, purpose and social mobility.
With an embedded health and wellbeing team working across our offices and pilot initiatives like our Clubhouses in locations around the UK, we are leading the way in bridging the gap between employability and health.
