Background

With the success of the Riverside Clubhouse launched last year, we implemented our second Clubhouse in Brighton. We believe the Clubhouse offers a unique opportunity to create a lasting impact on the lives of our Members. To measure their progress, we use the Work and Social Adjustment Scale (WSAS) and the Warwick-Edinburgh Mental Wellbeing Scale (WES).

Our impact

Since the launch of our second Clubhouse, New Wave Clubhouse in July, we have noticed 74% of Members reporting improvements in their WSAS and WES assessments including some additional positive feedback from our 37 active members. One member states, ‘I am really happy. I have been coming to New Wave Clubhouse. It is good to connect with others’. Overall, 83% of Members state they’re satisfied overall with their Clubhouse Membership and we have employed 2 Unit Coordinators who are driving this project forward on the frontline to support our members into work. We have successfully validated 3 job starts including Electrician, Retail Assistant, and Pizza Delivery Driver across New Wave Clubhouse.
