Work and Health Programme (WHP)
Working with you to help you back into sustainable employment
Get back into work
Providing you with tailored support to help you find a job
The Work and Health Programme was launched in November 2017 and is specifically aimed at helping people to find suitable and sustainable employment. It is a 15-month Welfare to Work programme commissioned by the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) that is designed to improve employment outcomes for people with health conditions or disabilities, the long-term unemployed (LTU) and specified disadvantaged groups. The Work and Health Programme is co-financed by the European Social Fund.
We are currently delivering this programme across Reading, Slough, High Wycombe, Newbury, Bracknell, Chesham and Maidenhead.
Getting to know you
Your journey with us starts with us getting to know you. This could be via a phone call, over a cup of tea or during a welcome session – whatever works best for you. We’ll assign you your very own employment coach who will help you plan your journey back into employment.
They will work with you to identify your strengths, skills and abilities and identify any barriers you may have to employment. We want to understand your needs, circumstances and aspirations to ensure that we are giving you the right support and to ultimately help you achieve your goals. We’ll design a package of support that is right for you.
We know everyone is different and a “one-size-fits-all” approach doesn’t work. So, your journey might look different to someone else’s. Our service is fully flexible to meet your needs.
Everyone’s journey will be different, but each customer will get access to the full range of support we offer. They will have access to:
-
dedicated advisers
-
ongoing assessments to understand your needs
-
online and face to face sessions
-

-

-
