Giving you the right level of support

to help you find a job that's right for you

Fair Start Scotland is a flexible employability support service for people living in Scotland who may be struggling to find work. The service gives potential participants flexibility and takes into account their personal circumstances to help them overcome any challenges they may have which may be stopping them finding a job.

The service voluntary and is available for anyone who may:

  • have a disability or additional support needs

  • have a health condition

  • have caring responsibilities

  • be a single parent

  • a care leaver

  • be from a minority ethnic community

  • be a refugee

  • have a conviction

Individuals will receive a tailored support package to make sure they get the right level of support to help them find a job that’s right for them. We believe that everyone should have the same opportunity to access a job that is right for them no matter what their circumstances.

Individuals who join the service will not only gain employability skills, access to training and specialist support but they will also receive support while in employment – just to make sure everything is okay between the individual and the employer.
