Fedcap’s Health and Wellbeing Service has been highly commended in the Self Care Innovation Awards 2023.
Our “Work First, Health Enabled” approach has been recognised for supporting people to overcome health barriers by equipping them with strategies to help them manage their condition.
Our dedicated Health and Wellbeing Team uses a variety of self-care practices to help build confidence and put coping strategies in place which support our customers into work.
Once in work, we continue to support people’s self-care practices.
In feedback from awards organiser, the Self Care Forum, some of the judges’ comments read:
“Great to see an initiative proactively and holistically supporting people back to work especially given the impact on individuals’ self-esteem, physical health as well as financially.”
“Helping to close the inequalities gap.”
“Fedcap’s exceptional programme has helped 1000s of people with self-care techniques.”
Brian Bell, Fedcap CEO, said: “We passionately believe that good work is part of a healthy life – and that a healthy lifestyle supports a productive work life. Good mental and physical wellbeing helps with everything from focus and energy to mood and communication skills.
“At Fedcap we know that much more needs to be done to bridge the gap between employability and health, which is why we employ a dedicated team of health and wellbeing professionals to deliver a range of holistic, person-centred services, and I’m delighted their efforts have been recognised in this way.”
Paul Wickson, Fedcap’s Head of Health and Wellbeing, added: “This is a huge achievement for the team and very well deserved. We’re putting health and wellbeing at the core of our employability offer and this award demonstrates our successful approach in supporting our customers, not only while they are with us but once they are in work too.”
