About Us
At Fedcap we are building a fundamentally different kind of organisation. We are a not-for-profit with clear direction, a commitment to excellence and an innovative approach to improving economic and social wellbeing.
What’s different about us is that we put health and wellbeing at the core of our service delivery. We believe that by helping people to improve their mental and physical health they will be in a much better place to find work. And we understand that getting people into work, in turn, can enhance their wellbeing further.
We deliver employability solutions, health services and community projects in partnership with like-minded organisations and stakeholders. This includes the delivery of the UK Government’s Restart Scheme and the Scottish Government’s Fair Start Scotland programme.
Our pedigree
We are part of The Fedcap Group – an organisation founded in the US back in 1935 by three wounded World War I veterans. Their aim was to help disadvantaged people of all backgrounds gain economic independence, dignity and become valuable contributors to society.
And that goal remains as important today as it was in the early 20th century.
Today, The Fedcap Group serves over 340,000 people worldwide each year, developing ground-breaking programmes that help to achieve long-term economic wellbeing by focusing on four main areas. These are:
- Workforce development
- Educational services
- Health services
- Economic development
As a charity, we don’t have any shareholders. Instead we are committed to reinvesting all our money back into our frontline services so that we can help more people to improve their health and enhance their economic wellbeing.

Always be RESPECTFUL to each other, our customers, partners, stakeholders and funders – we are dedicated to exceptional service
Integrity
Act with INTEGRITY – always be open and honest in our dealings with all people and stakeholders
Innovative
Be INNOVATIVE – always try to do things better, to look for new solutions that improve our services to customers
Innovative solutions for disadvantaged communities
We know that delivering on our mission doesn’t happen overnight. In fact, it starts with local, personalised and consistent support that can achieve long-term self-sufficiency.
We’ve seen first-hand how getting people healthy, building their confidence and giving them the tools to become mentally resilient can dramatically improve their employment prospects. Not only that but we’ve witnessed the impact that holding down a rewarding job can have on improved wellbeing and quality of life – giving people a sense of structure, purpose and social mobility.
With an embedded health and wellbeing team working across our offices and pilot initiatives like our Clubhouses in locations around the UK, we are leading the way in bridging the gap between employability and health.
We pride ourselves on recruiting locally to ensure our teams understand and empathise with local needs. We empower them to put the customer at the heart of delivery and solutions each and every day. Together, we bring innovation, values, ambition, and a safe pairs of hands to our communities.
